The-Latest.Com website was launched online in beta form in January 2006, as Britain's first dedicated citizen journalism news portal. The target readership is 40,000 visitors a day. The website is constantly updated with editorial material supplied by contributors once it has been edited by professional journalists. International print and broadcast media have used stories originated by us. The-Latest.Com has become Europe's largest and most influential English-language citizen journalism website.
The-Latest uses established online direct marketing and other distribution channels implemented through our wide readership and contributor base. Because websites are a high profit and high margin business, we have used sharply focused multi-dimensional sales, marketing and news media methods to build up our readership as quickly as possible. These techniques are similar to the ones employed to establish a base of almost 40,000 ordinary contributors to South Korea's highly successful OhMyNews website.
Banner advertising
Our premium banner slot (728 x 90 pixels) at the top of every page. Your advert will be rotated throughout the site to ensure maximum exposure.
In addition, we also offer a box advert slot (300 x 250 pixels) at the top right column.
Our banner advert management system tracks the number of views and click-throughs your advert gets.
Rectangle (300 x 100 pixels) will be placed further down on the right hand column. They are costed on a £4 per 1,000 view basis.
Most of our advertisers prefer to be quoted prices based on the time their advert appears on the site, so we estimate likely exposure and calculate price accordingly.

Discounts are available for first time advertisers and larger buys/longer runs.
** CPM stands for 'cost per thousand impressions' so for example having your ad appear 10,000 times on The-Latest at a CPM rate of £6 would cost £60 (10,000 impressions x £6 /1000).
