Harry the hero, really?

Ever since the news of Prince Harry’s deployment to war-torn Afghanistan broke, I’ve been laughing my ass off in complete utter disbelief. Do the people behind it really think we are that stupid?
The Dark Knight: a cinematic classic
Submitted by hannah_87 on Thu, 24/07/2008 - 10:48pm.Last night I was lucky enough to attend a special advance screening of The Dark Knight, 2008’s most anticipated film. I was thrilled to be among one of the first UK audiences to watch the film.
The Batman Begins sequel has been plagued by controversy, from Heath Ledger's death to Katie Holmes's blatant disrespect for continuity and a crash which left a stuntman dead and the most recent reports of assault surrounding Christian Bale. So after all the hype, the mainstream success and the critical acclaim, the movie finally arrived to UK screens and as an avid fan of comic books, films and general concept of Batman I was blown away. Everyone will speak of Ledgers chilling and psychotic portrayal of The Joker, whose combination of twisted humour and crazed mentality will stun audiences for years to come. He quite simply stole the show.

Kings of Leon Rock Wembley
Submitted by hannah_87 on Mon, 28/04/2008 - 5:51pm.The Kings of Leon rock! (The greatest band on earth) however last night they rocked for approximately 80 minutes which was a huge disappointment considering it was my first time to watch the band live.
Dimitar Berbatov: a class of his own.

When Tottenham splashed out £10 million pounds on a 25 year old virtually unknown Bulgarian striker from Bayern Leverkusen, the name Serhiy Rebrov came to mind. A big money signing that went horribly wrong for the North London side back in 2000. Rebrov arrived at White Heart Lane with a big reputation mainly because he was Andriy Shevchenko's old strike partner at Dynamo Kiev and the two shared a prolific partnership. Spurs had spent £11 million on Rebrov and he turned out to be a total failure with 10 goals in only 60 appearances, he left in 2004 and has since returned to Dynamo Kiev.
Chris Rock: No apologies
Submitted by hannah_87 on Fri, 29/02/2008 - 11:36am.Unadulterated, politically incorrect, blunt and downright hilarious, Chris Rock rocked the stage at Hammersmith Apollo and made no apologies. The American comic kicked off his first UK tour in Hammersmith, which was unbelievably his first “official” visit to the UK and something that many of his fans across the Atlantic have been waiting to happen for a long time. After the controversy of his most recent visit to the Capital, at the Live Earth event which was broadcast live on the BBC. Before introducing the Red Hot Chili Peppers Rock called the crowd "motherfuckers". Due to the broadcast being at 5:45pm, Chris was immediately cut off and the BBC were forced to make several apologies in direct response to the complaints made by a minority of viewers. However I doubt that those who complained about the use of his language would have been present at the show.
Piss Off
Submitted by hannah_87 on Fri, 29/02/2008 - 1:47am.Between leaving my house and traveling to university, I am offered a free newspaper about ten times. There are distributors of The London Paper and the London Lite absolutely everywhere. You’ll find them at Bus-Stops, outside Tube stations, outside shops, on the street corners harassing London’s hurried commuters.
If I want a paper, I’ll pick it up. Why the suppliers of these free papers insist on shoving a newspaper in my face is beyond me.
