Are toy boys still taboo?

Suzette Annan

News of r&b diva Mariah Carey getting hitched to actor and presenter Nick Cannon (both pictured, left), shocked the entertainment world this week for two reasons. The first was, when the hell did they start dating? - it's an unlikely match to say the least - and the second being the fact that she is 11 years his senior.

Fake hair is great hair!

Weaves; it seems almost every other girl out there has one these days. All you have to do is walk down your local high street, and you will see tons of girls rocking different styles, colours and textures; some of them look great, whereas others are a bit dodgy.

Oooh the N word

"I'm a nigga. He's a nigga. She's a nigga. We some niggas. Wouldn't you like to be a nigger too?" This is the chorus of New York rapper Nas' debut single off his new album, which is surprisingly called, Nigger. The N word is a frequent characteristic of American Hip-Hop and has even moved into the UK Grime scene. It is not uncommon to hear UK rapper Kano flippantly blurt out the occasional Nigger in his tracks. Is it really necessary though? How many times can Nigger be used in one track? (That said, I've used it about ten times in my opening paragraph!) Overuse of the N word is nothing but a cheap attempt at controversy to boost album sales.

You DON'T scratch your bits in public!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

It never ceases to amaze me, just how disgusting the public can be. While on public transport you can get an insightful look at how nasty people really are. I've witnessed many pick their nose, their teeth, their armpits, and almost every time the culprits are men . You would think that people would draw the line at scratching below the belt though, that's somewhere you just don't go in public (You shouldn't really in private either , but anyway!) Apparently, some people will go that far, As 'the scratcher' sitting opposite me on the Norhern Line this evening, so openly demonstated!

Just because I smile at you, it doesn't mean I want to sleep with you!

UNWANTED attention from men; it's a day to day occurance for many women, you could be on the tube, the bus, or walking down the street and you can guarantee you will be stared at, or approached by some guy (usually quite a sleasy guy!) trying to get his wicked way. How do you respond to this type of unwanted attention? Smiling at him is a polite option, however the big problem with this is that a smile from an attractive woman, to a horny man, is the equivalent of her jumping on him and screaming "take me!"
