On the buses

It was a Thursday afternoon and rush hour was fast approaching I took to the streets of Islington in North London to witness the functionality of Transport for London.

Passengers gathered at the bus stop waiting for their various buses to convey them to their destinations. Some looked grumpy and displeasing as they struggled to get on buses that were already full while others seemed to be annoyed by the smoke being blown their way from the nicotine addicts. To my surprise some bus riders were absolutely happy with the service, although her bus was three minutes late Sabrina was satisfied with the bus route 43 that she takes from Angel bus stop to London Bridge twice a week.

A passenger who preferred to remain anonymous also seemed to be satisfied with her commute on public transportation on the route 73 even though the service was very irregular. Her one complaint was that she liked the old route masters because there weren’t any restrictions in getting on or of a bus. Overall she rated the service a 7 out of 10.

Selma was a very unhappy customer her compliant was that when she commutes with her two year old daughter in her pram that it’s quite frustrating. She believes that tfl should provide more spaces on the buses not only for buggies but also for wheelchairs. Fellow passengers and bus drivers are very uncooperative with parents with prams often getting funny looks For the commissioner of Transport for London she had the following words “I would like to tell Peter Hendy to take his finger out of his bottom and do something for us who are contributing to this city”.

Overall people seemed to be content with the bus service in this neighbourhood however the one unsatisfied customer was very upset and expressed her frustration at the whole bus service.
