Can we cut taxes, yes we can...

IT'S the beginning of the panto season as Christmas rapidly approaches, and Labour and the Tories have kicked it off with a BANG.
Yes, the Tories claim this week's pre-budget tax goodie so called giveaway of tax cuts is a tax con that spells the end for New Labour.
"Oh no it isn't" shouts the Lord of the Dance Peter Mandelson who said it was the times that had changed, not new Labour.
"Oh yes they have," harp the Tories, as LORD MANDY told directors this week that new Labour would not tax the British people out of envy.
Tony Blair and Gordon Brown the architects of the new Labour juggernaut, which has stalled in recent years, are now faced with the prospect of future tax rises - despite claims they were considering all options. Blair had pledged not to touch income tax when he rose spectacularly to power in 1997.
Alistair Darling and team Brown were hoping that with the run up to Christmas, the public would go out and spend spend spend on the High Street - with a 2.5% decrease on VAT from 17.5% to 15%. However, last night on Question Time shadow Chancellor George Osbourne said that it was surely Labour's plans to raise VAT after next year...
I know what Obama's tax motto would be...Can we cut taxes? YES, WE CAN...
