Deceased hack's dreams almost reality...

Campaigning journalist Adrian Sudbury's dreams of having compulsory talks on bone marrow donation in schools has come one step closer today, reports his local rag The Huddersfiled Daily Examiner.

Sudbury, 26, who had campaigned tirelessly on his award winning Baldy's blog when he was alive, before he tragically lost his life to a rare form of leukaemia, will be smiling down from heaven as Children's minister Ed Balls and Health secretary Alan Johnson are handing £40,000 for schools to take part in a pilot project.

The money will go directly to the Anthony Nolan Trust, who are helping to pilot the scheme. £40, 000 has also been donated by a private sponsor meaning there is £80,000 in the pot to help kickstart the scheme.

If successful, Sudders's initial 'Sign Up For Sudder's Campaign' could be rolled out nationally to all schools.

Sudbury had met the British prime minister Grordon Brown weeks before he died, and had backing from the majority of MPs.

He died in September.
