The Press Photographer's Year is the only competition that showcases the outstanding press photography taken for and used by the UK media. This exhibition documents the world in 2007 and proves once again that even in a world of instant communication, the traditional still image burns the keenest, fastest impression on the public conscience. The Press Photographer's Year returns to the National Theatre for a third year and is held in association with The British Press Photographers' Association.
The overall winner is Daniel Berehulak, for a haunting shot of the late Benazir Bhutto taken during a prayer session held for fellow Pakistanis who were killed in a suicide attack on her homecoming parade.
