Greedy banker defies credit crunch with loadsabubbly

The-Latest has been told by one of our high-life spies that a London banker spent  £43,067.50 on champagne and vodka at a Soho private members club for a post Brit Awards party this month.

The middle-aged man arrived at Maya with two men and two women and spent three hours buying drinks for other guests who were drawn to his table.

Eight bottles of Cristal and two methuselahs of Dom Perignon, costing  £9,000 each, were consumed along with four jeroboams of Belvedere vodka at  £750 each and two more jeroboams of Cristal at  £4,500 each.

At least the waitress, Anna, received a  £5,617.50 tip.

<p><strong><u>Chris Gaynor</u></strong></p> I&#39;ve always been told wine is wine, and champagne is champagne. Someone asked someone at a party once: &quot; Is this a vintage? And the other person sarcastically said: &quot;It&#39;s wine isn&#39;t it?&quot; As it happens, I&#39;ve had Dom Perignon, only one glass I&#39;m sorry to say, and it tastes no different than a slightly cheaper version. These people have more money than sense. It&#39;s all status and ego.... The shallow side of&nbsp;  a vain country obsessed with money and status....

Is being a waitress considered a Lower Income Group (LIG) job in Britain? If yes, then who says that LIG jobs don&#39;t pay? Forget all that you&#39;ve read about the economic crisis buddy...life carries on as normal for the fatcats.
