Audience member and Kingston University undergraduate Paul Chanthapanya has captured in his video the opposing voices of Stafford Scott, long-time Tottenham based activist and Sky News reporter Tom Parmenter at the groundbreaking Media ad the Riots conference which took place in November 2011.
Parmenter is famous for his controversial "Looters" interview with four young Black men who raided shops during the publc disturbances that took place across England last August.
The-Latest.Com and charity partner the Citizen Journalism Educational Trust (CJET) held the Media and the Riots conference to examine press and broadcast coverage of the riots.
The event was attended by over 150 people and included young students, journalists, community representatives, trade unionists and academics.
