Rocket Ronnie whitewashes Whirlwind White

Defending Champion 'The Rocket' Ronnie O'Sullivan has white washed Jimmy 'The Whirlwind' White tonight to win the Premier Snooker League final three times in a row.

In quickfire succession 'The Rocket' managed to rack up seven frames in just over an hour to thrash Jimmy 7 - 0. 'The whirlwind' started off well in the first, but broke down leaving Ronnie to clear up and start the rot.

O' Sullivan managed to cling onto his winning streak to keep White sitting in his chair.

Ronnie picks up a huge cheque for  £77, 000 and the BetFred Snooker league trophy.

White took home a total of  £44, 000 in prize money as runner up.

But critics are still asking why Ronnie has not won a World ranking event since March 2005?

Paul Hunter's sister, Leanne Hunter was presented with a  £10, 000 cheque at the ceremony in aid of the Paul Hunter Foundation.

The charity is for disadvantaged children who are given the opportunity to play snooker in decent surroundings.

Paul Hunter lost his life to cancer earlier this year, and is still remembered for his talent and contribution he made to the game.
