
West, who has been nominated in five categories, said: "Whenever you see rock stars they just wear the same thing and it's all sweaty and then you see them the next day and they stink. That's the whole thing about being a rock star - you could wear the same outfit all week.
"So I'm going to pick one extremely good outfit and just wear it the whole time. The party is going to be too crazy, I won't have time to change."
Kanye's Stronger music promo has been nominated for Video of the Year, and he is also up for Male Artist of the Year and Quadruple Threat of the Year - which recognises the "boundary-buster who excels in multiple fields such as music, fashion, philanthropy, business, acting and dance".
Kanye, 30, claims he is "one of the greatest rappers of all time" and has accused his mentor Jay-Z of stealing his good ideas. In the song Big Brother from his new album Graduation, which is released next month, Kanye raps: "I told Jay I did a song with Coldplay, Next thing I know he did a song with Coldplay."
West made international news when he bravely challenged President George Bush about his abandonment of Black victims of Hurricane Katrina which devastated coastal parts of America's deep south in August 2005. He has also used his songs to condemn the exploitation of diamond companies.
